50 Wardrobe Refurbishments

Guildford Grammar School underwent a complete refurbishment of its boys’ boarding school, with a focus on transforming 50 rooms within a limited timeframe. Partnering with Nicola Gibson Architect, we were tasked with updating the freestanding wardrobes in each room to provide a clean, modern look while staying within the school’s allocated budget.

The existing wardrobes had a dated two-tone black and timber finish, and the client wanted to achieve a full timber aesthetic to create a cohesive, contemporary style throughout the boarding facility. Several of the wardrobes were damaged and required careful filling and sanding prior to the vinyl application.

Using architectural vinyls, we meticulously wrapped each wardrobe in NG/NF 250 vinyl, which offered the desired timber look while also being durable and easy to maintain—perfect for a school environment.

The project was completed successfully within the holiday period while the boarders were away, ensuring minimal disruption to the school’s operations. The final result was a refreshed, modern look for the rooms, with a uniform timber finish across all wardrobes. The school was pleased with the result, particularly the fact that the project was completed on time and within the allocated budget.
